Indev to Deliver Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Services to DOT Federal Transit Administration

Washington November 14, 2017 – Indev is pleased to announce the award of a new contract with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Office of Information Technology. Indev will be responsible for providing cybersecurity services in the areas of Continuous Monitoring (CM) and Information Assurance (IA) to help the FTA adhere to its IT Security Program (FITSP), a key FTA Chief Information Officer (CIO) initiative to manage IT operations risks and to protect government data. Indev, in partnership with Halvik Corp., will support six (6) IT systems that operate across DOT’s Common Operating Environment (COE) and within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Under this award, Indev will provide strategic, operational, technical, analytical, documentation, compliance, and tool support across a range of tasks that include cyber assessments (e.g. FISMA, FedRAMP, vulnerability, cyber resilience), POA&M management, training, and other critical IA tasks.

DOT FTA, one of DOT’s 10 modes of transportation, is responsible for providing financial and technical assistance to local public transit systems, overseeing safety measures, and helping develop next-generation technology research. FTA is run out of DOT headquarters in Washington, D.C. and also has 10 regional offices that assist transit agencies in all states and U.S. territories.

This award increases Indev’s cybersecurity presence and our mission critical support for DOT, furthers our industry expertise, and aligns with the company’s strategic focus and core competence of supporting the transportation market and the safety mission.
