Arlington, VA, December 1st, 2020—The Forest Service (FS), an agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is in need of business transformation, project coordination, solution definition, application development, testing and deployment services for their Ecosystems Management Coordination (EMC) group.  In partnership with Metaphase Consulting Group, Indev will provide technical services that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the agency’s National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and National Forest Management Act (NFMA) compliance.  Electronic Management for NEPA (eMNEPA) is a principle initiative of the agency’s electronic government (e-GOV) work that started in 2004. Their systems have reached the end of their supported life cycle and must be replaced with a modern SaaS/PaaS platform.

Certain critical current eMNEPA capabilities must be preserved in the new platform as well as new opportunities for further efficiencies examined, developed and deployed. This contract will eventually bear witness to the retirement of the current eMNEPA suite of tools, to be replaced by the new, modern “Land Management Planning System”.

Shortly following the award, Sandi Van Valkenberg, Indev’s Senior Director, happily noted that, “this is our first contract win at the USDA, setting the Indev flag at another cabinet agency.”
