Arlington, VA, April 1, 2021 – Indev is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Mr. Keith Melancon as Senior Director of Cybersecurity Services.  Mr. Melancon will lead Indev’s delivery and business development activities of the Cybersecurity service area, driving initiatives to improve our client’s enterprise security posture, capturing new contracts, and developing junior and mid-level staff.  He will be responsible for overseeing customer delivery efforts across all cybersecurity accounts, acting as the primary liaison between our customers and the delivery teams.

 Mr. Melancon brings 21+ years of experience in the cybersecurity and information technology domains conducting cyber controls assessments, risk assessments, and cyber policy consulting services.  He brings a background in network engineering, network architectures and education and training.  Prior to Indev, Keith provided strategic advice and technical expertise to clients in both the government and private sector, in areas including cybersecurity governance, strategy, training and assessments.  He led support to the DoD CIO Cybersecurity Strategy Office covering a range of issues including the DoD Cybersecurity Strategy, cybersecurity exercises, private sector partnerships, cybersecurity workforce initiatives, and interagency collaboration.  He has supported the DoD efforts in the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cyber workforce strategy, working with DHS and NIST in developing the strategy and socializing it within the DoD, academia and industry.  Additionally,  Keith has served as a project manager for numerous client engagements covering cyber risk assessments and table-top exercises for clients in various industries.

 Keith is also an Air Force veteran.  His duties included serving as the Director of Operations for a technical training squadron, serving as a theater tactical communications planner, providing network engineering services, and instructing at the Air Force Communications schoolhouse.  He also supported deployed operations in Iraq and east Africa.  He retired from active duty in 2011.

 His academic background includes a BS in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University, and a MS is Information Resource Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
