Washington D.C. Indev is seeking a Director of DHS Accounts/Enterprise Architect who can support our DHS client in the greater Washington, DC area to help serve in a lead role for Indev’s rapidly growing DHS account. We are looking for a highly motivated leader with previous experience and existing customer relationships at DHS, who will directly support high-quality delivery and lead various DHS capture and proposal activities. In addition, we need someone to provide day-to-day consulting services and subject matter expertise in analysis, requirements, reporting, and support implementation of architectural standards to a DHS client (approx. 20 hrs/week).
Indev is seeking candidates with a mix of technical and business experience in mission-oriented environments. We are especially looking for candidates that have worked in DHS, have strong client relationships within the DHS client and industry communities.
This role will be responsible for supporting a wide range of project activities spanning business and technology environments.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Assisting DHS executive leadership by supporting oversight of the DHS portfolio, including ongoing capture and proposal support;
• Developing close relationships with Indev’s DHS clients to serve as a subject matter expert and an Indev leader empowered to drive delivery;
• Managing holistic architecture strategy, direction, alignment and roadmap;
• Defining enterprise architecture functions, governance, and concepts;
• Establishing management structure and control;
• Defining an architecture process and methodology;
• Supporting implementation of an Enterprise Architecture Framework by developing an agency-wide road map to meet mission goals through the optimal performance of core business processes and supporting IT resources (e.g., systems, applications, databases, websites, and networks). This framework is essential for evolving existing business processes and IT resources, as well as developing new processes and resources that provide maximum mission value;
• Managing and continuously improving technology, solutions and services and integrate business, information, and technology architectures to create service designs that meet business needs;
• Performing technology research, evaluation and selection, including impact and financial analysis;
• Developing EA models to build the baseline enterprise architecture;
• Developing the target enterprise architecture;
• Developing the transition strategy and sequencing plan;
• Encouraging and facilitating use of the enterprise architecture;
• Create a business process using enterprise architecture in IT investment decision making;
• Create and report performance metrics relative to the implementation of the enterprise architecture;
• Identifying tools that can be used to establish performance indicators for enterprise architecture performance; and
• Create and maintain the enterprise architecture.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Work independently or under general supervision.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Business, or other related discipline AND 8+ years consulting or IT experience
• Experience working in a Federal environment, preferably DHS
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven experience supporting executive leadership and high-visibility project
• Proficient proposal writing abilities for Federal RFPs/RFQs
• Demonstrated experience leading the full capture lifecycle and associated activities (e.g., identification, shaping, influencing, client stakeholder mapping and meetings, demos, using Federal tools [e.g., GovWin, SAM.gov, APFS.gov] for Federal procurements
• Previous DHS experience and relationships
• Ability to prioritize impeding tasks and meet short-term deadlines
• Ability to lead end-to-end capture activities as a proposal/volume lead, supported by Indev’s leadership
• Serve as a mentor\leader for the DHS aligned Indev staff
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Existing and active DHS EOD/clearance
CLEARANCE
Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and will be required to pass a government background investigation.
Covid Policy: Indev does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
