Arlington, VA, October 23rd, 2019 – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded a task order to provide Agile Transformation and Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) services to their Technology Solutions Division (TSD) in support of a large modernization effort for various TSA vetting and credentialing systems. The support and expertise that Indev will provide includes coaching, training, program management, and oversight support services to assist TSA with the development and modernization of several legacy applications— including the Secure Flight program. The systems that Indev will be enhancing are a key part of TSA’s Security Threat Assessment (STA) process.

Responding to the win, Indev Partner, Charlie Inman, stated that, “This award allows Indev to continue to deliver market leading services and expertise in Agile Transformation to our clients—this time with a focus on SAFe.  We are excited about the opportunity to work side-by-side with the TSA and help drive this transformation, and support their modernization.”

Indev is poised to help drive the TSA’s transition from business practices centered around a hybrid of traditional waterfall and agile development methodologies, to an exclusively agile framework. This transformation will directly impact and drastically change the affected programs’ business practices, principles, and processes. The goal of this effort is to produce working, quality software in short, fast increments—known as continuous delivery—which often requires that teams be able to accept and implement fast changing requirements. This new paradigm shift will be essential to helping TSA modernize quickly and efficiently at scale.
